No homework this week

Hello everybody!

As I said in class, this week there is no homework. I want you to study hard. Remember you have to read, some of you need to read many books before 14th June.

Remember, in English you need to study:

• Irregular verb list
• All the tenses we've studied (present simple, present continuous, past simple, present perfect, future simple)
• Present perfect with just/alredy/yet
• Superlative and comparative adjectives
• Tag questions

Study also about energy, remember you won't have any test if you show me in class you know the basics. Take a look at the presentation I uploaded yesterday.

1. WRITING 18: Write an Acrostic Poem with one of the spells of this list. Choose one spell from the list below and write a an acrostic poem using its letters. Remember to take care of the calligraphy and the presentation. You can win many points for your houses!!

3. Go to Travellers again and choose three books to read. You are free to read any book.

Homework to due in 2 weeks (9th May)

Good afternoon!

Remember, this homework must be done before 9th May. You have plenty of time. Please, organize your time and be sure you do everything:

1. WRITING 16: Write down the recipe of your potion we did this afternoon. As better you do it, more points you'll get for your house. I'll take into account the efford you make, your presentation, your explanation, your creativity, your spelling and your English level.

You can use any kind of paper/cardboard to do this writing. Just do your best.

Here you have some hints:

• Give your potion a name related to the emotion associated to the colour.

• Use linkers (first, then, after that…)

• Use your imagination (Add three drops of dragon’s blood and one drop of golden apple juice. The mixture should produce sparks).

I remind you the ingredients we used:

• Banshee's tears 
• A few drops of: dragon’s blood, occamy’s blood and golden apple juice (depens on the colour you chose)
• A pinch of pearl dust
• One spoonful of Whomping willow's resin
• One spoonful of powdered dragon eggshell

• One stirrer
• One paper dish

6. Start peparing the presentation about your favourite book. It'll take place on 10th May. Remember you have to talk about the plot, the main characters and explained why it's your favourite book 

7. It's not compulsory but, as all you know, you can prepare a magic trick.

Present perfect + yet/already/just

Now, we are foccused on the present perfect. I need you to understand and know how to use these adverbs when using present perfect: already, yet, just.

Tricky words: TO - TOO - TWO

We confuse TO, TOO and TWO very often. These words sound the same in English, put their spellings are different and we must distinguish them.
